Ukilen Union pedestrian car ban

The Ukilen Union pedestrian car ban was a widely controversial bill in 2024 that continued from a draft 2 years earlier in 2022 that would ban the interprovincial usage of pedestrian cars in favour of all other forms of transportation, primarily the networks of public transportation in Turku and connecting to the city. This ban coincided with the closing of Turku International Airport, the only major airport serving the area around the city.
