The Athi States are a group of loosely federated nations located on the southern coast of Eastern Continent. There are 20 individual Athi States that make up the larger union. The native Athi term for the Athi States is mea Elaunuathie /(IPA ADD LATER)/, which translates as "The Athi Union."

Historically, the Athi States have been regional and international powerhouses of maritime trade, owing to their early development of shipbuilding techniques, as well as their largely coastally-focused lifestyle. Over 75% of the population of the Athi states lives within one hour of the sea, and the Athi States have a large number of busy ports.

The government of the Athi States is complex, but the two capitals of the larger union are Sonieralo in Lianu si Melinus and Lathina si Inema in Lianu si Winu. Sonieralo is home to the Luilalu Elaunuathie (the Athi Legislature), as well as the offices of the Policy-Maker (natively known as the hujuseli). Lathina si Inema, meanwhile, is where the judiciary, as well as most foreign diplomacy, is located. These are also the two largest cities in the Athi States.
