Kae Tsai (November 12, 1971 – January 12, 1999; in Maegi, Ishio 24, 10,787 AZ – Kuoke 12, 10,815 AZ) was an Azkali-Sunterian filmmaker. His sole film Mari Cried (1997) is regarded as the greatest cinematic debut in history, as well as one of the greatest films of all time. His productions are characterized by distinctive psychological and surrealist elements, and raw, uncensored graphic depictions of violence, collectively referred to as the adjective "Tsaian". In spite of his scant filmography, containing only one cinematic production and two independently-released short films, he is considered one of the most influential filmmakers of all time.
