Chekearoa

Chekearoa was a city and former capital of the Azkali State. Chekearoa is located alongside the Chekearozkot River, situated below the Makletz Plateau. Chekearoa was the capital of the Capital Province of Azkali, being the 3rd largest city of said province. Chekearoa was Azkali's 6th largest city, and was one of, if not the oldest continuously inhabited places in the world, being lived in for 9000-12,000 years, predating the 1st Kali migration to northern Ukilen, now modern day Baphia. At it's peak, around 1975, Chekearoa had a population of almost 250,000 people. In 2024, following the firebombing of the city by Sunteria in the wake of the Azkalo-Sunterian War, and the Katoz Nuclear Disaster, the city was made uninhabitable, and was subsequently deserted.

The first documented evidence of the existance of the city of Chekearoa was the town of Chekearonech, being referenced on the Chekearonech tablet, which has been dated to around 4000 years ago. Archaelogical evidence, in the form of skeletons underneath the Chekeamotzat Archaeological Site, have pushed back the date in which Chekearoa was founded to between 7000 to 9000 BCE.
