Yugim
Yugim, or dukes, is a political title in Baphian politics. A yugim is a leader of a party, clan, state, and or the whole union. They usually will have a vice duke who will take over if things were to happen to the yugim, be it death or ill health.
Due to the relative newness of the Baphian union, and due to a pause in it due to the Noellastani coup, there have only been 8 yugim of the union.
Yugim terms, how long one can be a yugim, is decided for each case, for example a yugim of the union is 10 years and can be served as many times as they are elected, while each party, state, and clan has their own rules of who can be their yugim and for how long, for example the crown party only allows the Noellastani monarchy and heirs to be their yugim, and until their death.
Yugim of the union
Yugim of the union are yugim of the Baphian union. They act as speaker of the courts, negotiating with the 5 courts of the union (previously 6, becoming 5 after Jyosti and Sakle left and joined Union) on laws and issues and generally trying to come to a shared, agreed upon, partisan version of the law or action needed for an issue. They also act as a figure head of the whole union in international political matters if it is deemed that an issue is serious enough for that.
