Kaneed are a diverse species, mostly residing on Ukilen and north Brausia.

Sexes

Kaneed sexes are a tad more complicated than other species' sexes. There are 5 kaneed sexes, Adma, equivalent to other species' male, Dish, equivalent to other species' female, Elke are kaneeds who share outward structure to Adma, appearing similar, but having a working uterus like a Dish, Kësh, are kaneeds who share outward structure to Dish, appearing similar, but having working phallic organs like Adma, and Xayëla, kaneeds who can look either like an Adma or Dish, but have no working reproductive organs.

Treatment of Xayëla throughout kaneed history

Xayëla until very recently (1920s-2020) have been revered and put into schools to become scholars and computers. They have been highly respected due to their intelligence and were usually very highly ranking in kaneed clans. In the 1920s, as northern Ukilen shaped into Baphia, leaders urged people to have more kids, and sense Xayëla are incapable of helping in any process of child birth, they were ostracised and have been until 2020 when the 13th Noelle began using Xayëla as living libraries and computers, even with his families founding, funding, and ownership of Noelle Electronics. Xayëla after the fall of the Noelle regime are still being used in government as computers due to many factors including speed and ease of use when it comes to language processing.

Subspecies

Baphian Kaneeds

Baphian kaneeds are the most common kaneed, residing primarily in Baphia. They are named after their ethnicities name, its origin is currently unknown. Morphologically, they resemble goats and other capranae.

  • Jyosti kaneed, named after the Jyosti Islands, are closely related to Baphian kaneeds, the most obvious difference being their horns are much more prominent compared to Baphian kaneeds, and they have a thicker fur coat due to long exposure to near arctic temperatures due to normally being in the north.

Xeric Kaneeds

Xeric kaneeds primarily reside in Kzmr with some in Baphia, and are named for their association with the lower-precipitation regions of Ukilen. Morphologically, they closely resemble foxes, and the three varieties of the subspecies are named for the species they most closely resemble.

  • Beringian kaneed, named after the blue morph of the Bering Islands arctic fox, have thick dark brown coats that are slightly lighter in the winter months.
  • Karagan kaneed, named after the Karaganka fox, have a slimmer, lighter-colored coat with dark lines along the snout.
  • Blanfordian kaneed, named after the Blanford's fox, are similar to Karagan kaneed but have bushier tails and a shorter average height.

Yamahat Kaneeds

Yamahat kaneeds primarily reside in Yamahat, they are named after their ethnicity and historical tribes name, with its origin being unknown. Morphologically, they resemble canines, mostly wolves.

[FELINE] Kaneeds

[Rat] Kaneeds

[Rat] kaneeds primarily reside in Hallei and Yamahat. They are named after the historical tribe they were apart of. Morphologically they resemble rats and mice.

[Shark] Kaneeds

[Shark] kaneeds primarily reside on the eastern coasts of Ukilen and North Hallei. [Shark] kaneeds are the least common kaneed and the most distinguashable and distinct by their shark-like apperence. Unlike most kaneeds they do not morphologically resemble any singular animal but do have features of some aquatic animals such as sharks and whales, also unlike most kaneeds, they have something more closer to human skin instead of fur.
