The world's earliest marching band, the Western Otzeipao University Dragon Band, was formed in 1692, in the then Grand Duchy of Otzeipao-Chekearoken. Within Azkali, all middle and high school marching bands, in both private and public schools, are governed by the International Marching Corps Association, formed in 1969.
