Peiderezek desired to create an album that sounded unique, and at the same time would be recognizable and enjoyable by the average listener. To that end, he created a massive collection of pop, rock, and rave songs that he sampled and manipulated, creating many of the songs on the album. Recording for the album began in February of 2001, being described by Peiderezek as "traumatizing", "awful", and "draining", and concluded in August 2001.
