Ukilen logographs: Difference between revisions

Ukilen logographs, characters, symbols, are a [[W:Logogram|logographic]] writing system used by most languages on [[Ukilen]] and places influenced by Ukilen countries such as [[Union of the Bellic Islands|Union]]. It's homeland is greately debated but generally most people agree that it was soley pictographic, and started being used inbetween around [[Bongsibon]] and [[Ëndaija]].

Traditional Ukilen has far less characters compared to the logography, mostly only equivalents to the modern radicals, but is much more complex in how it conveys the same ideas that modern Ukilen logographs conveys. Traditional Ukilen is debated to be the original form of the modern characters, but it is argued that they actually evolved from an even earlier version of the writing system due to certain quirks specific to the writing system that are shared with earlier mostly undeciphered Ukilen writing systems. Traditional Ukilen nowadays is only used for aesthetic reasons, but historically it was used in [[Jkawi]] and [[Ukilen Union#Charlia|Charlia]] as well.
