He is regarded as one of the most influential musicians of the 21st century, particularly for his albums Mujekesi Soyandoze, Kele Sinceyudefonu Tezhetsogewe, and Ele, of which are considered among the greatest albums of all time.
Ari Peiderezek (born 29 Gau 1982/25 Kikasi-ye Narasi 3194/Ge Sye Tanzhe 23 Tuwa/24 June 1982) is a Bapho-Azkali singer, politician, and philanthropist. He has served as the Yugim of the Ukilen Union since 2026.

Ari Peiderezek was born in Otzeipao, Azkali, in the midst of the Otzeipao plague outbreak. In 1983, he was kidnapped by Baphian soliders during the closing months of the First Bapho-Azkali war and after being held for several years, was sold into slavery, forced to work in the outskirts of Turku in a quarry. He witnessed the deaths of thousands while enslaved, including his mother. After escaping slavery in 1999, he fled into Yamahat, being housed and protected by [yamahati], whom he would later marry. After being taught to read and write Baphian, he released Mujekesi Soyandoze in 2001, under the pseudoynm Soyan Belupo. Mujekesi Soyandoze would become the best-selling Baphian album of 2001, establishing his solo stardom. Under his real name, he would release Kele Sinceyudefonu Tezhetsogewe in 2003, and Ele in 2007 respectively, popularizing EDM-trap, overpop, and art rock in Baphia. Both Kele Sinceyudefonu Tezhetsogewe and Ele would both be given the Album of the Year award by the Baphian Music Society in 2003 and 2007 respectively. Peiderezek further established his position as a global superstar with the release of his album sozhe in 2010, lauded as his most artistic and socially conscious album. In 2013, along with A.M. Sancuki, co-founded the record label PC Music, under which he would release his latest album, Shile Biyefonu, in 2017.
Peiderezek was born in the underground Azkali communities in Bátsi, Rathari to a Azkalo-Baphian family. His parents had emigrated to Rathari in 1967 due to their ideological beliefs shortly after the founding of the State of Azkali, and had gone into hiding within the sewers of Bátsi after the outbreak of the 1st Bapho-Azkali war and the subsequent Bátsi Earroatz. Peiderezek spent the first six years of his life within the underground, before being found by local occupation forces. He passed through various Azkali concentration camps before being sent to the Bartsinan Quarry, where he would spend the next twelve years of his life.

Peiderezek is one of the best selling music artists of all time, having sold an estimated 300 million records over his twenty year long career. He has had 10 Ukilen-Music Top 100 singles (the fifth-highest in Ukilen-Music history, and the highest of any kali). Peiderezek was inducted into the Pop Hall of Fame, Baphian Rock Hall of Fame, Azkali Music Hall of Fame, and the Ukilen Dance Hall of Fame (the only recording artist to be inducted). Peiderezek is one of the most awarded musicians in history, receiving over his two-decade long career twenty three Baphian Music Society Awards (he highest of any kali) including the Artist of the Century award; eighteen Sunteria Awards; twelve Baphian Rock Society Awards, the highest a solo artist has ever achieved; five Azkali Music Society awards, and two Ukilen awards.
Peiderezek escaped the Bartsinan Quarry in December 2000, encountering music for the first time and soon being inspired. He released his first album Electronic Music in September 2001, to widespread critical and commercial success. His fame was further cemented with the release of his albums Castle of Broken Dreams (2003) and King (2005), both being lauded as landmark pop culture releases. He was sued by the Bartsinan Mining Corporation in 2005 for the rights to his freedom, engaging in a six month long legal battle that ended due to the abolition of slavery in Noellastan. Peiderezek suffered a public mental breakdown and was institutionalized for a year; his release from the Turku Central Mental Hospital in June 2006 was among the most widely viewed television events in global history.

Early life
Peiderezek released his album Unbreakable (2007), regarded as the most important Bapho-Azkali record of all time. He entered into a creative hiatus as he focused on touring between 2007 and 2010, releasing the albums Dangerous (2012) and HIStory (2017), before entering into relative abscence from public appearences.

Early childhood and kidnapping (1982-1988)
Peiderezek released his landmark comeback album Thriller in 2025 as a collaborative album with artist Cali PESE, which became the best selling album globally of all time, in excess of 60 million copies having been sold in less than a year. Following the beginning of the 2nd Spring of Love in 2026, he entered into politics by entering into a surprise run for Yugim following the banning of the Ukilen Right, initially as an independent candidate but later as the candidate of the Peace in Ukilen Party, which he founded in May 2026. He was elected to the Yugimship in the July 2027 elections with 72.3% of the vote, becoming the first Azkali to serve as Yugim, and the first formerly enslaved person to hold a head of state position worldwide.

Ari Peiderezek was born in Otzeipao, Azkali, on the 6th of December 1982. His mother, Eiako Peiderezek (1949 – 1993), was a librarian before the Azkali plague epidemic, and was a Šertist. His father, Nerezkei Peiderezek (194? –198?) (né Iriak), was a boxer and a middle-school teacher before the Azkali plague epidemic. At his birth, Ari had an older brother, Hiko Peiderezek (19 February 1970 - 9 December 1982). Peiderezek was born in the midst of the Otzeipao pandemic, which had been delayed by months due to efforts of the city government. Shortly after his birth, however, the city experienced an epidemic of plague, resulting in the abandonment of most of the city; over half of the city's population was killed, including his brother Hiko.

After the death of Hiko, he and his parents fled the city, along with most of the surviving population; they fled to the half-abandoned city of Mikiliz in northern Azkali, where Peiderezek's paternal grandfather, Athoko Peiderezek (1921 – 7 October 1983) resided. The Peiderezek family moved into the home of Athoko. In early 1982, the population of Mikiliz had almost all died due to the plague, but the city had received an influx of refugees fleeing the plague and civil war in late 1982; most refugees were attempting to gain asylum in Baphia. On the evening of 6 October 1983, the 1st Bapho-Azkali war started, and early the next morning, the Baphian military entered Mikiliz, where a small garrison of Azkali military personnel alongside local police forces engaged in the First Battle of Mikiliz, the opening military confrontation of the 1st Bapho-Azkali War. Mikiliz was taken hours later, and as "punishment" for resistance, a vast majority of the town was shot, including Peiderezek's grandfather, in what would later be known as the Mikiliz massacre. During the battle, Peiderezek and his parents fled the city and walked into the outskirts of the city, where they were kidnapped and sent to the Mikiliz concentration camp, straddling the pre-war border between Azkali and Baphia.
Peiderezek is regarded as one of the most globally influential artists of all time. He is one of the best selling artists of all time, with estimated sales of over 400 million records worldwide. He is the most awarded artist in Baphian history, holding 19 awards from Ukilen Music, including 6 Album of the Year awards. He is the highest-paid Baphian musician and the wealthiest ethnically Azkali person in the world, with a net worth estimated at over 1 million bouns. He has donated over 14 million bouns to various charitys worldwide, representing some 1400% of his current net worth. He is regarded as the most influential philanthropist in history, donating the most amount of money in terms of the percentage of his net worth.

It was in the Mikiliz concentration camp where Peiderezek has his earliest memories. He recalled in a 2010 interview of his earliest memory being witnessing the hangings of several prisoners who had attempted to escape the camp. Peiderezek was placed in the childrens sector, where he seperated for weeks at a time from his mother. He gradually learnt Baphian from the camp guards. Peiderezek was held in the camp from the 7th of October 1983 to the 14th of April 1989; on the 14th of April 1989, 8,000 of the camp's population of 59,000 at that time were purchased by the Bartsinan Mining Company located in the outskirts of [abc] ward, Turku; Peiderezek and his mother were included in the prisoners purchased, while Peiderezek's father was not. According to Peiderezek, the next day, 15 April, he and his mother were forced into the inside of a semi-truck, along with many other prisoners, which was then driven for some three days from the concentration camp to the Bartsinan quarry.

Slavery, escape, and hiding (1988-1999)
Peiderezek and his mother, along with the rest of the 8,000 prisoners arrived at the Bartsinan quarry between 17-20 April. The prisoners, which included Peiderezek's mother, were immediately forced to perform labor, mining granite. Peiderezek, meanwhile, along with the rest of the young prisoners, were made to construct barracks that he and the rest of the slaves at the quarry were to reside. For two years, Peiderezek, along with other children in the quarry, were sent to an on-site Treveist day school, where he received basic parochial eduaction. Starting when Peiderezek turned nine, in 1991, he was made to perform manual labor in the quarry alongside his mother.

Peiderezek. along with the rest of the slaves at the Bartsinan quarry was the victim of extreme violence. Food and water rations were extremely small, and of bad quality. Peiderezek and the rest of the Bartsinan slaves were regularly made to work up to between 20-30 hours at a time, with an average of only 4 hour breaks for sleep. Peiderezek regularly witnessed the assault and executions of slaves, mostly at random, and was constistently the victim of assault. In 1993, Peiderezek's mother was shot after she collapsed of exhaustion, and Peiderezek along with several others were made to take her body to the on-site graveyard, where her body was buried in a mass grave. Peiderezek noted that he witnessed the death of the Azkali singer Kazo, whom was identified by several other slaves.

All throughout 1999, the Turku region experienced a drought. In December, a red flag warning was issued for the entire metropolitan area, due to high wind conditions. In the night of 6 December 1999, his 17th birthday, a fire erupted in the barracks; in the chaos, Peiderezek, along with several other slaves, were able to escape the Bartsinan quarry. Peiderezek fled on foot for several hours, before being found by the family of 16 year old [yamahati], whom at the time were vacationing in Turku. Peiderezek and [yamahti] left Turku and drove to the town of [xyz], in Yamahat, where the [yamahati] family resided. There after, Peiderezek was adopted by their family, but rarely left their house, as the town was hostile to kalis. He was taught to read and write in Baphian, and later the Yamahati Baphian language.

Discovery of music and music creation (1999-2001)
Peiderezek first heard music in mid-1999; specifically, he heard the song [xyz] of the Baphian rock band Jowemu Kyezupe. Peiderezek described his experience in his biography Blackstar:
It was an ethereal experience, first listening to music. It still remains vivid in my mind, more vivid than anything. It was eleven in the morning, I had woken up hours earlier, and she [yamahati mother] had finished helping me take a bath. I suddenly heard muted, aggressive noise coming from the living room. Me, in the bathroom, flinched and almost broke down in tears; I was reminded of quarry noises. She was confused as to why I was breaking down in tears, but regardless comforted me — eventually, she asked me what the matter was, and I asked, through my tears, what the noise was. She frowned and looked at me. "It's music," she said. I had heard the word but never even knew what music was: I simply had never heard any music before, no singing or playing of any kind. Slowly, I dressed and made my way to the living room of the house, where I sat down on the couch next to [yamahati]. He was watching a music video of the band Jowemu Kyezupe. I had never even conceptualized anything like them. I leaned into him as I listened, perplexed. "I want to listen to music for the rest of my life", I decided then.
Peiderezek began to obsessively listen to music, so much so that [yamahati mother] and staged an intervention, where in [yamahati mother] asked Peiderezek why he was "so obssesed with it [music]"; Peiderezek responded, "it fascinates me". He began to curate his tastes in music primary towards electronic music, mostly post-disco and dance-pop, and alternative rock. As he listened to music, he became inspired to create his own music, though was hampered by the lack of musical training. As such, practically as soon as he became literate in Baphian, he learned how to read music, learned to play the piano, and began receiving vocal lessons from [yamahati mother]. At the same time, Peiderezek discovered the internet, interacting on music-centered forums.

Influences
Peiderezek cites many musical influences, primarily from contemporary Baphian and Azkali musicians. He has specifically cited the Azkali singer Kazo, the rock band Jowume Kyezupe, and the Baphian singer Soto as his primary influences; he described attending a 2006 Jowume Kyezupe concert, and being "mesmerized".

Vocal style
Peiderezek is known as an expressive vocalist with relative pitch. His stylings, including uses of staccato, legato, groans and wails, vocal hiccups, and adlibs are all signature to his "sonic character". Peiderezek's voice was described by Matsutsang Dsim(?) as "utterly distinct and beautiful". His vocal style has changed throughout his career, being described as "darker" and "aggressive" in Mujekesi Soyandoze, Castle of Broken Dreams, and to an extent Ele. As he moved his musical style to a more pop-sound with his albums sozhe and Shile Biyefonu, his style has changed to a somewhat gentler, softer, and clearer tone.

Dance
Peiderezek began learning how to dance in 2001, after the release of Mujekesi Soyandoze, under the tutelage of Bapho-Azkali dancer Nekio Zezak. Peiderezek began incorporating dance in his live performances starting with the Castle of Broken Dreams residency in 2003. During the Castle of Broken Dreams tour, he debuted his signature moonwalk dance, previously known as the nazagiyagoyen (in Azkali nazagiagoen, meaning to slide backwards), which he had learned by watching street performers in the A'Block. The moonwalk became Peiderezek's signature dance move, and has become possibly the most famous dance in the 21st century. His other dance moves include the robot, popping, and the anti-gravity lean, which he first premiered during his 2007 Ele tour.

Peiderezek was born with AzADHD, colloquially known as "Azkali disorder", a congenital variant of ADHD which originates from mothers who had at in the past contracted the Azkali plague. Peiderezek was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in December of 2007. Peiderezek struggles with social interaction and social communication, and he describes himself as a "moderate autistic person". As a result, his personal behavior was, and to an extent still is the subject of widespread tabloid speculation, being exemplified by his difficulty connecting with fans and sponsers, his sometimes brutal honesty — most notably demonstrated during a 2009 interview with [oprah winfrey] when he asked [oprah winfrey] to speak quieter, because "[her] voice [was] too loud" (Peiderezek later apologized to [oprah winfrey] for this comment and called it "unacceptable" ), and eccentric behaviors at concerts.
