Baphian is near exclusively written in [[Ukilen logographs]] and rarely mixed with [[Noellastani language|Noellastani alphabet]]. Noellastani alphabet is usually only used for grammatical constructions, names, both of places and people, and onomatopoeia, but even in some cases the logography covers these.
Standard Baphian uses both the [[Ukilen logographs|Ukilen logography]] and [[Noellastani language#Orthography|Noellastani alphabet]] in a mix script to write the language. The logography is heavily preferred and is used the most in standard Baphian including with grammatical concepts, but it is not uncommon to see those written in the alphabet. Baphian has 2 major sources of nonnative vocabulary that can be directly attested, a lot of colloquial words are from [[Jkawi language|Jkawi]] due to the huge influence from both the language and [[Shidamism]], as well as from [[Jyosti language|Jyosti]], due to cultural significance of both the language and islands of [[Jyosti Islands|Jyosti]].

Baphian is a group of languages, usually called Baphian dialects, and are variably fairly mutually intelligible. spoken throughout most of Ukilen and Brausia. It is spoken natively by most kaneeds with the exception of those who speak Kzmr, a seperate related language group to the Baphian dialects, usually spoken by Kkzmrš.
