Arcadia (Arcadian: Iarčæ̂z [jart͡ʃæːz]), formally the Arcadian Republic, is a country located in Brausia. Arcadia borders Ihoshar to the west and Garistan and Tyrosia to the east.
Name
Traditionally, the name Arcadia has been derived from Harcaç, a son of the god Cauthos and the mythological patriarch of the Arcadians, who, according to the XXth century author Placeholdrios of Tibdia, defeated the monster Iopphelion and established the first Arcadian state on the island of Curicon (Cyrch).
History
Ancient Arcadia (1000 BCE–200 BCE)
Zeroth Republic (200 BCE–200 CE)
Feudal Era (200 CE–1100)
First Kingdom (1100–1740)
Arcadian Revolution (1740–1749)
Main article: Arcadian Revolution
The Arcadian Revolution was a period of great social and political upheaval that began in the Arcadian succession crisis of 1738 and ended with the victory of the republicans over the monarchists at the Battle of Tibdia and the establishment of the First Republic. Many of its ideas are fundamental principles of liberal democracy, while its values and institutions remain central to modern political discourse.
